ISTA and ISTA-P Versions to keep?
Hi,
since I'm slowly running out of space, which are the ISTA versions that have features or from which version were features removed? The same for ISTA-P versions? And maybe the psdzdata or ecudata versions to keep? I flashed an old E81 one time with a newer version and the car wanted to retrofit a sensor or valve afterwards. There was an info from BMW for this. I can't remember which version it was, maybe someone knows. It would be great to keep a version before. Thanks. BR ISTA 4.46.14, ISTA 4.46.11 SDP, ISTA-P 72.0, ISTA Launcher 1.46

ISTA v. 4.01.xx. allowed EGR modifications, and this was omitted from the newer versions.

RE: ISTA and ISTA-P Versions to keep?
But keeping all installation files from 4.01 takes a lot of space, and I already have a 20 TB HDD for it.
So I thought maybe just keep the better versions and delete all unneeded old versions not needed anymore. I found out that it needs to be flashed with 3.58.2 or higher. ISTA 4.46.14, ISTA 4.46.11 SDP, ISTA-P 72.0, ISTA Launcher 1.46

Sometime ago i did for testing with 3,5x version combined 5 version into one and it was 110GB then i look and found that everytime it installs new version it deletes old version(flash etc files) I think how it works is that with every update bmw only compiles popular and new car files, and rest removes but since bmw ista is online and connected to BMW servers it can download needed files for this or that car at anytime(or during support call with bmw) If any of my posts or current one helps then don't forget to press thanks and add a reputation
