2015 Mini S F56 Safety Feature
Hey Guys, anyone aware if 2015 Mini S F56 has a crash safety feature that disables the fuel due to impact?

I did some reading, from what I found, apparently there use to be a switch in the older models, but seems this has been shift to the SRS module. Took a look at the diagram and noticed that there is a crash line from the SRS unit to the fuel pump.

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks and Rep Appreciated!

RE: 2015 Mini S F56 Safety Feature
Yes, it does.

In the event of a crash, the ACSM control unit decides whether an activation is required and which gas generators (seatbelt tensioners, airbags, etc.) have to be activated.

In vehicles with a combustion engine, the ACSM control unit deactivates the electric fuel pump. For electric vehicles, the ACSM control unit also switches off the high-voltage vehicle electrical system.

Can reactivation be done via ISTA?

Or does this also require clearing crash from module first?

Thanks and Rep Appreciated!

I'm honestly not sure, what is the situation and what are the codes you're getting right now?

RE: 2015 Mini S F56 Safety Feature
Thanks everyone for responding. I started asking questions before I actually got in depth with diagnosing the vehicle so I could have some idea what's going on ahead of time. Initially when I scanned the vehicle few days ago, there wasn't much, besides a fuel pump short circuit. Started working on the vehicle today, with the wiring diagram started tracing wires and checking for voltage etc. It turns out there was a chafed wire from the accident, causing a short circuit, wire was repaired amd problem solved.

This was an isolated situation due to the accident.

Thanks and Rep Appreciated!
