Hi,

I have tested CanClip 198 and CanClip 223 and both are finding car VIN (it is old car so it is no SGW influance), but when I click scan modules, there is picture of USB dongle.

Can Clips stop working. I guess, it is some 2023 year time limit.

 Is there any solution for that ?

I think you should install Can Clip on a laptop with OS WIN 7 32 bit. I have the same on OS Win 10 64bit.

There is no usb dongle image on Os WIN 7 32bit when diagnosing older Renault models. (I did VM WIN 7 32bit with C.C. V202 (USB Dongle does not appear) but not tested on car because I don't have any Renault))

I think you should install Can Clip on a laptop with OS WIN 7 32 bit. I have the same on OS Win 10 64bit.

198 was on Win7 64bit. It is going on after Vin identification. Just before car scanning.

Before car connection it is not a problem

It looks like some time limit for 2023 year

The USB Device is calles Token. You normal need it to unlock the Security Gateway. But i see someone provides a patch / emulatur for this

I know about SGW. But it looks like since 2023 year can clip even with cars without SGW need dongle to scan car.

I will play with date and give feedback ...

Mistery solved...

It looks like that Canclip crashs with Kangoo 2007 year. And picture of token dongle is just displayed after crash.
With Scenic 3 it works great.

It was tested on 198, 215, 223. It was win7 and win10 64 bit.

I think maybe win 7 32 bits is needed. Can clip starts in older graphics mode and maybe 64 bits has some errors in path.

Will try to test 32 bit system.

Solution confirmed.

Take away is that Canclip for older cars (Kangoo 2007) reconnect to old version of Canclip.

On 64 bit system it crashes. On 32 bits works correctly without any problem.
