via obd, all are expensive/original/ i would not risk with a clone tool, your cheapest option is ktag but need to open the ecu

PCMFLASH buy ori dongle and modules you are intrested in. cp44 is always good idea to read in bench

Even with original one you can brick this particular ECM via OBD.

I am autotuner user since 2019
I have bricked a few ecu dont know why, done tons of VAG EDC17 bricked once but really long time ago, but recovered with boot mode
Also bricked EDC17C10 and EDC17C60 but recovered in bench
