2019 Audi A3 8v with MHS2_ER_AU_P2035_MU0235
Part: 81A035192E
It has Audi Sound System from factory with sub in boot.

Any way to activate the subwoofer on the MMI?
 have already tried coding SOUND_SYSTEM_INTERNAL_INDIVIDUAL but it comes back with coding error fault.
Do I need a new parameter file?

Does anyone have the parameters xml to enable the subwoofer control for this 2019 unit please?

Only with changing Datasets in Parameter. It is a little hard, and you need 010 Editor Programm and the Dataset from somewhere. In his Github Repo is also a zdc2bin Script - but normaly vcp zdc is crypted

I am trying to do the same for a retrofit, I have managed to enable the outputs and other menu options by editing 0x003000 and 0x003B00 but still no subwoofer menu on the MMI. I don't have VCP so am editing and writing the parameter sets manually.

I was wondering if other addresses needed to be adjusted or if you could share an example parameter set for 5f I could compare against?

Hi Oli.

Two steps are required to enable it:

1. Edit 3B00 data to add plus-minus range for the subwoofer knob
2. Edit 3000 data to set max gain for the subwoofer (1 byte only)

Link2 is Github where he stores the Templates for 010 Editor and some dataset parts

Very useful.

Used CarScanner app to read 5F dataset 0x3000 and 0x3B00
Updated the dataset with sub gain and sub range.
Recalculated checksums.
Uploaded datasets.
Done !

VCP/ODIS etc no good for this job!
