Sorry to bother with these simple things.
I retrofitted CIC to my 2007 E91
Everything works ok, even navigation, but iB FSC is rejected when read with fstools.
It says that it's VIN number is the vin what was original in that unit.

When I look in FSTool it say its application number is 19, I assume that is right?. Also it says that VIN is correct.
What might be the problem and more important: can I just try to install it again not afraid that I loose anything?
I could leave as it, but I like to upgrade maps. Maybe I can use VIN what is original in that unit. Haven't tried it yet.

IMHO IF navi works while FSC is rejected, you have script activation. Map update is tricky is such a case, but there was howto written somewhere (at least before forum crash). Or you could reflash it and do fake FSC activation.

I have followed this intel v2 method. Then played with FSTool to generate FSC's.
And as said, everything is ok (17, 19 adn 9C are green for car's VIN)
This unit is definitely from car where it was from factory.

I started the whole thing with flash (unit had old firmware). And then did v2 boot (red screen).
And, the unit is from 2009 like the maps. So definitely there was no reason for any manipulation. The car even didn't have mulf
Anyway. I try to enter map fsc for original and my vin and if those fail, i try to enter 1B again.

However when I try to make map fsc for west premium 2020-2 (lifetime) it don't accept.
it gave:

original unit VIN is A394171 and my car vin is FZ15844

Is it possible to make FSC from both of those?
I like to test either if those will be accepted.

Do you update the CIC? For the Patch you need the latest update.
You can make a screenshot from FSTools?

If you are going with the patch solution, then why not replace VIN in the unit with proper one and not have additional problem??? If unit's VIN is different OF COURSE you need to use unit's VIN for FSC.
Also HOW did you generate the code? If unit is patched you must use code generated by patcher!

I had the same issue.

I certify the fsc with fstools 2.0.2 and i import the certs with dr.gini
