Hi All,

NOW BEEN RESOLVED.

Want some advice here, as done the updates every couple of years and no problem, until now.

Process is the same, Downloaded HN+ map for mine and when I go through the motions (Firmware is latest P1001 from memory as updated last time) I get to the Update list after it gets the metadata and lists all the options....the ECE Map part has ? next to it, and when I go into the sub menus, every option is 0 and N next to it....

Couldn't find any instructions other than advise on this thread, and using the old instructions from previously. New INSTRUCTIONS SUPPLIED BELOW. Makes the update straight forward, HOWEVER different to previous updates.

If you get Error Code 140, You have Skip or Retry as options. Just click Retry as the comms between the SDCard and MMI system doesn't always goes smoothly, and yes I/m using a decent quality branded SDHC card and not SDHX

So if anyone else has these issues, then the answers are in the MMI 3GP 2021 Instructions posted below.

If you are sat in your car watching the updates, this is the order of what they go in, so at least you can work out how much more is left :-

Thanks....but I did that many times......however after searching the net for some time yesterday, I managed to find the instructions and have uploaded.

The Error was the other issue.....which no one was able to answer.....but I found the info on that and have shared it on the post.

Instructions and method is different to previous install v1.7 instructions.....so hence why there were issues.

Last available version is 8R0051884KC  2022/2023

Next is 8R0051884KM version 2023 which will be available from February/March

This is the write up for error code 141.....

"You may see those errors during firmware or maps update, why they are? If you see them you probably do not read properly the tutorials, in 99% you have copied files on to SDCARD by using MacOS system, this can brick your MMI unit, it is clearly mentioned to use Windows based computer to download and copy the files on to SDCARD. MacOS creates lots of hidden files which are not visible to you, but the MMI can see them and they are making it confusing which files to use.

But if you have prepared the SDCARD on windows and still get one of these errors, then your sdcard is probably damaged.. try to format again and remember to use FAT32, download & unpack again files and copy on to SDCARD - if it still fails, try using a different SDcard."
