If you're installing manually and having issues then use Sedoy's installer instead. I and many others have used it and it 100% works so you either have an issue with your downloaded files or there's something else wrong with your PC

And how exactly do you do that ?  because i have been reading about this here on this forum. But one person says this the other says no you have to do it this way, and there is nobody who post the correct way how to do it , so i am still waitingh to update the DSP and BLp.

What do you need to know - how to update 4.37.4x to 4.38.3x?

This is what I did and it worked for me (assuming you have ISTA Launcher Console downloaded and the folders set up correctly) - maybe some of these steps can be combined but as it worked for me I'm happy!

1) Install Sedoy 4.37.4x standalone

2) Download and put the following files into the ISTA_Store\Downloads folder:
BMW_ISPI_ISTA-META_SDP_4.37.42.xml
BMW_ISPI_ISTA-META_SDP_4.38.10.xml
BMW_ISPI_ISTA_DELTA-SDP_4.38.10.istapackage
BMW_ISPI_ISTA-BLP_4.38.10a.istapackage

3) Run IstaLauncherConsole

4) Delete all files from ISTA Store\Downloads folder apart from BMW_ISPI_ISTA-META_SDP_4.38.10.xml

5) Download and put the following files into the ISTA Store\Downloads folder:
BMW_ISPI_ISTA-META_SDP_4.38.11.xml
BMW_ISPI_ISTA-BLP_4.38.11.istapackage
BMW_ISPI_ISTA_DELTA-SDP_4.38.11.istapackage

6) Run IstaLauncherConsole

7) Delete all files from ISTA Store\Downloads folder apart from BMW_ISPI_ISTA-META_SDP_4.38.11.xml

8) Download and put the following files into the ISTA Store\Downloads folder:

18) Run IstaLauncherConsole

19) Delete all files from ISTA Store\Downloads folder apart from BMW_ISPI_ISTA-META_SDP_4.39.20.xml

20) Download and put the following files into the ISTA Store\Downloads folder:

BMW_ISPI_ISTA-BLP_4.39.21.istapackage

21) Run IstaLauncherConsole

BMW_ISPI_ISTA-BLP_4.39.25.istapackage

24) Run IstaLauncherConsole

25) Delete all files from ISTA Store\Downloads folder to clean up (or you can leave BMW_ISPI_ISTA-META_SDP_4.39.25.xml in there ready for the next update)

26) Done - Service data should now show as 4.39.25!

I think in the [20] section maybe 'BMW_ISPI_ISTA-META_SDP_4.39.20.xml' is missing, it will cause BMW_ISPI_ISTA_DELTA-SDP_4.39.21.istapackage not been installed. @slackers

Instruction Step by Step from hashtagmaster.

From ISTA 4.37.22 need renew license, simple remove license from registry and make new request.

From ISTA 4.32.2x is a personalized license required. Click here to Request.

ISTA Standalone

* fix ICOM connection with enabled "Ethernet as preferred communication channel..."
* Reject fake FSC's disabled permanently.
* disable CheckSystemRequirements is now possible in ISTAGUI.exe.config. (Windows 7 not supported)
* enable programming with ENET is now possible in ISTAGUI.exe.config (at your own risk.)
* Diagnose for J29 (Toyota Supra) is now always enabled.
* read FASTA Data from Vehicle is disabled in ISTAGUI.exe.config
* if you use my Regfiles, open it with Notepad and change the InstallLocation to the right Location on her PC. (not needed with Installer)
* If use ICOM then also install original Firmware on your PC to avoid "Firmware" message in ISTA

- for Diagnose only, neccessary SQLiteDBs GLOBAL(required), en-GB(required), de-DE(optional) and BLP(required) in the same patchVersion as App (example 4.37.4x).
- for Programming is SDP needed, using older or newer Versions allowed.

Before this i had 100% working 4.35 (not 100% sure, i was not paying attention)
I tried un istalling and deleting keys from registry. Installed again, but no luck.
