Writing higher mileage on F15 cluster
So I need to incease the mileage in the cluster (eerpom 160dowt). If I'm not mistaken it's the first two lines. How to calculate the correct value? I need to increase about 120k.

Some programmers have built in mileage calculator.

Or you can read the eeprom and post the file here for adjustment.

RE: Writing higher mileage on F15 cluster
Could some change the mileage on this? Currently ~173k and I need 125k more so 298500 would be good.

RE: Writing higher mileage on F15 cluster
Took me awhile to get back to this one. I use VVDI prog to write to new chip (Xhorse 35160DW) and it won't write the first two bytes

The file used to write is:
48 E0 48 E0 48 E0 48 E0 48 E0 48 E0 48 E0 48 E0
48 E0 48 E0 48 E0 48 E0 48 E0 48 E0 48 E0 48 E0

But when I read the chip after writing it's:

00 00 48 E0 48 E0 48 E0 48 E0 48 E0 48 E0 48 E0
48 E0 48 E0 48 E0 48 E0 48 E0 48 E0 48 E0 48 E0

Everything else is written correctly. Is this an issue with the tool or chip? I assume this will cause red tampering dot in the cluster?

There is no need to write to a new chip. Just edit the existing chip mileage and write back. Success comes with removing the chip and reading / writing out of circuit.

As far I know VVDI prog can't erase the chip hence they offer new chips.
