ODIS-Service 7.2.1 - read VIN
can anyone advise? I have ODIS-Service 7.2.1 (head VAS 5054 original) and it is difficult to log into older cars eg Golf5, Passat B7. It won't read the VIN and it won't find the units when entered manually the VIN. Is it normal with the Odis patch?

My Passthru device also couldn't read/identify a 2007-2010MY gen Skoda.
I think it is one of the limitations of J2534 in ODIS - that not all earlier models could be accessed. I believe that ODIS does not officially support VAS5054 anymore since v7 - so you are using your device in J2534 driver mode, most probably. That may explain this behavior. Try to roll back to ODIS-S 6 with native VAG drivers. |

Have similar issue with genuine 5054a and odis-s 7.2.1, try to change VAS5054a drivers.
