Guys, when I install ODIS, and try to run it, I get the following error:

"Unable to determine the hardware id for this computer"

Anyone knows how to fix this ?

Before saying that I'm joking just for your curiosity read the manual and you will see what I'm talking about.

Hello guys.
after install the odis 2.0.2 and post_setup 4570. i was able to start the odis program, but it will not detect vehicle and ignition.
am i doing something wrong.
could someone point me to the right direction.

Today i tried to install 2.0.2 but can't seem to get postsetup to work. I copied the ISO to C:/Postsetup but can't make it load, always red no matter what i tried. Any idea what i may be doing wrong? Also, not sure my licence file any good, any idea where i can get a good one? Thanks

Finally managed to install the postsetup files, had to select C:/ Postsetup/Update ( was mentioned before in the thread, i missed it).
But i'm having a problem, when ODIS starts and the first 2 windows come up, one for the warnings and the whats new, when i try to click on bar to slide down, the program freezes. Does this on thw laptops. Im guessing its my licence file. Can someone, please take a look and see where i messed up? I ve tried a few diferent variations of it and always come with with same problem. Im trying to set it up for Canada.

It' s a generic (demo) license. Not a specific one for your pc. (hw id is missing and many others fields)

How does one go about getting hardware ID, and its necessary?
Also getting asked User and Password when starting diagnostics, anyway around it?
