XZBMW  Coding issue F20LCI with retrofitted 5DP and 5DL
Hello,
I have a coding issue after retrofitting 5DL and 5DP to a 2019 F20.

I completed several nice retrofit projects already.
Last year I retrofitted surround view (5DL) to the car.
The top-view option in the HU worked fine until PMA (5DP) was coded.

Now I retrofitted 5DP with the 4 PMA2 sensors 2x in front and 2x in rear bumper.
My coder coded the function to the car.
In the HU he coded:
- MACRO_PMA_EINPARKEN > gen2_ohne_konf
- PDC_FLANKENSCHUTZ > aktiv
- AUTO_PDC > aktiv
- COMMUNICATION_PARKMASTER > gen2

PMA works fine but top-view image is not any longer displayed in HU.

My screen looks now like this:

Could somebody give me a hint how the HU and/or other ECUs have to be coded, so that top-view picture is shown next to PMA2?

Thanks for your help - very much appreciated.
Matt

Thanks for your offer.
I'll need a couple of days to get the cafd files.
Which ECUs you'd like to look into? HU, PMA, TRSVC?

Hi,

sorry, my post was deleted due to directly posting an external link.
Therefore I write my answer again - hopefully this time 100% correctly.

Retrofitting 5DL was done by a couple of persons - mainly with F3x (3 and 4-series) models.
I'll send you a link via PM to one of those topics I used for educating myself.

The total effort of retrofitting depends mainly which model you'd like to retrofit and your starting config.
Assuming you have already rear-view camera installed from factory:
Retrofitting F3x models is quite easy, because this option was offered from factory.
Retrofitting F2x models is more difficult, because you need to be more creative in some areas.

I for myself very much like the top-view I got used to in my F11, so I decided to do the retrofit in my F20. Although I underestimated the complexity at the beginning but declined to give up during the retrofit.

Hope this gives you a good starting point to evaluate this project.

Br,
Matt

I've attached links to the NCD files of TRSVC, PMA2, HU_NBT2.

I appreciate any feedback pointing me towards a solution to get top-view image back.
Additionally I assume PMA is not fully enabled, because I don't get a ((P)) on the car after checking the box with the steering wheel.
Can somebody confirm that PMA is only working with this sign ((P)) seen?

Thanks for you help - very much appreciated.

Br,
Matt

You need to Code ICM, REM and Hu with your 5dp and schould work. Not only HU

Sorry, I was not that precise.
My coder FDL coded ICM, REM and HU, but the result was not as expected, because top-view image was not any longer displayed.
That’s why I asked here in this thread about needed parameters to code for having both: working PMA2 and top-view enabled.

@kuno24: Do you know, which parameters have to be coded in the ACSM?

Best regards,
Matt
