Hi,
I have recently purchase a Audi A5 Sportback 2012.
I have now completed reading this lengthy post and I think I need a little help working out what mmi I have? I have attached pics of my current SW versions and console. Please let me know what mmi I have so i can then find the correct update to download?

Yes but you better do the update between 518 and 770. Do update 614 first, After that perform update to 770 and update maps.

Hello everyone.
I finally completed the update of the navigator on my audi S5.
The version of the software and the map was:
Version Media:
HN + _EU_AU3G_P0513
Navigation database version:
8R0060884AH ECE 5.13.8

now:
Version Media:
HN + _EU_AU3G_K0767
Navigation database version:
8R0060884BK ECE 6.17.3

I have done the following:
1. Installed update 8R0906961CA "+ HN _EU_AU3G_K0612_1" .
2. Installed update 8R0906961CE "+ HN _EU_AU3G_K0614_1"
3. Installed update 8R0906961DH "+ HN _EU_AU3G_K0767"
4. Installed 2014 maps 8R0060884BK 6.17.3
5. Backup file FSC
6. Run DH767 patch (Carson)
7. Changed the value of the channel 15 of the control unit 5F. For "SVM error" reported from car diagnostic software.
8. Activated the green menu changing the value of the channel 6 unit 5F from 0 to 1.
9. Activated the NAD operation mode of the green menu to manage the phone (from SIM on car or bluetooth)

The problems I met:
1. I had to re-enter the PIN of the SIM card.
2. After some attempts to back up the FSC file, the system did not boot from SD card, found burned SD, probably a result of the insertion and extraction with MMI power on.
3. I was not able to access control unit with VAG-COM 12.12 cable, it is not compatible with my car, I settled with the VAS 5054A. This has the high speed CAN BUS protocol, but the use of this software is more complex .


Now I don’t have messages from car diagnostic, the BOSE system works perfectly, I have the street viewer and can make a call with mobile phone using hands-free while use the SIM inserted into car for navigation system.
In this site I found all the information needed to complete the upgrade, I thank the people who made them available. Hope that my experience is helpful to other users.
