E90 FLA retrofit, no symbol in kombi
Retrofitted FLA in my July 2005 E90, the car was on original ilevel and modules were all showing programming date of 2005.
I had to update the JBE before I could communicate with the FLA module, it was there before once I’d updated the VO, but couldn’t communicate. So I updated most of the modules whilst I was there (apart from CCC as I’m swapping it out for a CIC). Can now program and default code the FLA. Default coded FRM, CAS, KOMBI but I don’t see the ‘A’ icon on the KOMBI when I push the high beam stalk. The high beam does seem to behave right, it doesn’t come straight on like the FLA is ‘ready’ (I haven’t tested the car in the dark yet). I thought the kombi might need updating to latest ZB, but it appears as though it has no further updates even though it was originally programmed in 2005? I wonder if it’s too old..? Has anyone else had this? |

Yes, xenon lights. The FLA is working perfectly, switches on and off as it should. Just no symbol on the kombi!
So I guess source a later kombi, virginise and fit that? |

RE: E90 FLA retrofit, no symbol in kombi
I tried to ZB-update but there was no new update. How would I update to KMBI_PL2.C08 or later?

RE: E90 FLA retrofit, no symbol in kombi
Nice. I did a search in kmmData for a suitable ZB and found a cluster on eBay, got a nice cheap private offer on a cluster!
Ordered an R270 programmer so I’ll have a crack at virginising the cluster.. |

RE: E90 FLA retrofit, no symbol in kombi
First check wiring K_CAN_HIGH & K_CAN_LOW from FLA and connect them to K_CAN at FZD.
Add to VO $5AC and code CAS, FRM, KOMBI, FZD, JBE, CCC and SZL. You will see the symbol on the Kombi only when the automatic headlights come on. Thanks + reputation if I helped you.

RE: E90 FLA retrofit, no symbol in kombi
some kombi don't have this symbol, like cruise control for example
if it works like it should than kcan are ok. |
