Hi sirs,
downloaded this and it doesnt boot after hard drive install
just blinks at startup
i have set it all in bios etc but still same
treid it on dell d620/630 n works well but on my tablet x61 ibm
it just blinks
pls help

What did you set in BIOS?

On the ibm bios hdd has two options,
1. ahci and other
2 compatability.

av chose both and still same but when i use a windows 7 or vista it boots smoothly
guess it doesnt like xp or its startup files can work on this model

but i will love to use this tablet for the job.

Have you tried my 07.2014 image?
It is set for AHCI mode.
Worth a try?

Thank you very much for this. I just want to ask about the addons. What are they for? I found them in the Daimler website. There are a lot if addons for the 05/2014 xentry. So do I download all of them and install them one by one.

One more thing how do I remove the sdstartup fix? I like the SD desktop

Addons as the name suggests are updates for xentry and das, yes you can download and install them manually and if not you'll get automatic reminders as well (unless your internet is off for some reasons).

You like sdstartup because the fix has cut down the time to minutes, remove it and the sdstartup remains forever . Imagine you want xentry/das for your car and you have to stick with the sdstartup for hours, how inconvenient is that. Fixes are made and are there for a reason. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the clarification. I have previously installed 01/2014 version which had no fixes installed and it used to boot into the xentry desktop. Now I installed this sdstartup fix and it boots directly into normal windows desktop. Both booting takes the same amount of time. Also FYI I have not yet received my C3, so have not tried these on a car.

Hello, I was wondering has the time limit been removed from the software. If I remember correctly every three months or so it stops you from accessing it and tells you that the software is out of date and asks for newer version of software if you get what I mean. Thanks. Darnott does great work.

Please can some one give me a clue what I am doing wrong,I have installed the software but I am unsure if I am using the right software the interface??
The unit I am using says C3/C4 Rs485 Interface MB DCI RS232 TO RS485
The error message says
Initialization of diagnosis multiplexor failed.
Possible causes:
The link between the diagnosis multiplexer and the diagnostic socket is interrupted.
The link between the diagnosis multiplexer and the diagnostic unit is interrupted.
The voltage supply at the diagnostic socket ( circuit 30 and or circuit 31 ) is faulty
