Hi Everybody,

I upgraded my 2005 A8L MMI 2G to a newer 3G system.
All the parts comes from an 2009 A8 3.0 TDI, so all the parts are clean, working.

I installed this parts:
- Newer gateway (REV0071)
- MMI 3G Main Unit (5F)
- Bose Amplifier 3G
- Radio unit 3G
- Climate control 3G
- MP3 Cd changer 3G
- Screen
- MMi buttons with joystick

After some coding the system started, I can removed the SVM fault message and after my audi dealer remove the Component Protection from it. But after 1-2 minutes the component protection returned again and again. All of the parts works and there is no fault codes.
But there is no sound because the CP.

Only the 5F has 3 fault codes,

- component protection
- invalid dataset
- Function restriction due to communication interruption

I absolutly don’t know what is the problem.
Can someone help me with a little information?

This driver must be in the version of the software (H12, 020).
Otherwise, the CP will be returned.

This will be the only problem?
Have you did another 2G to 3G retrofit? Can you tell me more information from it?

For me it was the only problem I had ..
It is true that I lost three months before I figured it's about the driver.
No one told me that this could be the cause of the 12 times I remove the CP.
After replacing the controller, the problem was killed.
In Poland, for allegro.pl you can buy it for 40 EU.

What do you know? The instrument cluster sw number not important? I have 2006 S8 ACC instrument cluster.
