RE: Rheingold Standalone 3.51.31
Hi, I installed this software successfully but however DME box is red in control unit tree (ecu not responding). Earlier version 3.43.50 did not find DME at all in control unit tree. Can this now relate to used cable (I did use "ebay" k+dcan cable)? or could there be some setting which i haven't noticed in installation?
Car is E46 330Ci 2002 Thanks. |

That gives you 2 K lines, and blocks the CANBUS side (not needed for your car). K+DCAN cable is best for 2007+ CANBUS diagnostics cars. |

Again, thank you, beemerboy ! The interface worked before flawlessly with the same car, the only difference was the version of Rheingold (3.48.30). Pins 7&8 are jumped together from day one , without Ediabas it wouldn't work at all.....but it works on other models, as I said.... Thanks anyway for your interest. |

I'm experiencing the same issue as this user above, and cannot connect to the DME. I have an F30 connected with an ENET cable. I cannot read or clear any codes in the DME. I was able to connect via TOOL32.exe and clear the codes, but I want to be able to diagnose issues properly, and I need DME access through ISTA/D. RE: Rheingold Standalone 3.51.31
I have no problems, but I use an Icom. Did you make right connection settings in rheingold? In Ediabas.ini and obd.ini right settings?

RE: Rheingold Standalone 3.51.31
I'm not quite sure.
I would have assumed so because I can successfully read and run operations on all ECUs successfully except for the DME. My EDIABAS.ini is configured properly, and that's the connection (through EDIABAS) I use in ISTA. I'm not sure how the OBD.ini is supposed to be configured. I don't believe i touched that file.
