VAS5054A with Toyota Techstream as Passthru

Install Techstream
Install PassThru drivers for VAS5054
Activate
Connect head to PC and 12V.
Open Techstream and configure interface.

Inside you will find different versions for XP and Windows 7 for Techstream and Honda HDS

Maybe someone is willing to test HDS also with head and post results.

Great stuff Mr Fantomel. I didn't now VAS can act as a passthru interface.

I want to test also with Volvo VIDA. But first make an adapter because Volvo Low speed Can is on pin 3 and 11 like JRL.

Maybee than i can manage to get contact with all modules in the volvo. With my Xhorse MVCI i can see ECU's only on High speed CAN bus. Hope i have some time the comming weeks so that i can give some feedback.

I know from specifications that volvo asks for j2534-2 to be present and from what i know vas does not. but why not try.

Here my results so far:

VAS5054 with Techstream looks OK, have connection and can read parameters end do actuations. Only when i want to do customized settings te "select customized Parameter" tab shows no parameters at al(empty field). No mather what Function i choose. This happens also with my xhorse MVCI red board so maybe i wil try an older version of techstream.

VAS5054 with ScanXLpro is also working tested on my BMW320D with K-line.

VAS5054 with Volvo VIDA is not working VIDA says that it is not compatible with J2534-1 interface when i try to connect. (Just like you said Mr Fantomel)

VAS5054 with BMW Rheingold is also not working. I might be doing something wrong. The TEST of the VAS becomes green when connected to the car and the LED on the VAS5054 blinking when i try to connect with rheingold. Also the VAS responds when operating INPA (LED Blinking) but can't connect to anny module. This is just for playing for me because i have ICOM clone.

Hi all,

I have VAS5054 cabel with the newest flash from ODIS. I have installed passthru driver under techstream but there is no VAS driver in the system.
Do I have too new flash in interface or should I find other driver package from odis for correct cabel drivers recognison ?

PS. Odis is on other computer.

GM Mdi, original can also work fine and u can set up wifi too, can setup run for volvo, toyota, honda, Odis, can run BMW passthru online as well and lot application can aprroval per each manufacture J2534-1-2 ........
-VAS 5054a is also the best but need follow instruction mr. 'Fantemol' should be work fine.....

You said Genuine GM MDI is working with Techstream. This is correct. I tested with my genuine one.
My question is if you or anyone else tried Reprogramming using GM MDI in Toyota cars of course. Or any other j2534 tool can do this but no Drewtech one
