I hope i can get here a awnser. I got a a1 from 2012, original from the factorie its diliverd without navigation. I got a new unit with navigation, the old unit had no gps connection. I have a original document to activate the navigation function, only that doesn't work. The screen tell's me that the navigation funtion is not activated.

When i try to activate the navigation function with ODIS, i get a fault and it stops there.

anyone a solution?

for the record i work at a audi dealer.

Try with old VAS 5051/5052. ODIS gets a list from online Connection what things have to be in the car. If you change Units it knows it and blocks the activation. Maybe more chance with old Vas. Or you have to tell Audi something is wrong with the pr Numbers and then you have to tell them which pr numbers are wrong (old pr number without nav, new pr number with nav)

I tryed it but it doesn't work. I have contacted audi but they say that it cannot be changed (pr list). I placed the unit in a car with navigation and actived it. It works in that car, but when i switch the unit, it works for 1 minute en then it say's it need activation. I decited to build a mmi high system in the car.

For RMC units the activation of navigation feature is car-dependend ?

So if I change RMC unit in my Audi A1 (without NAV) and put another unit (with NAV activated) from another car, after unlocking CP, NAV won't work too ?
In other words, NAV feature will be lost if I change car ?

Yes, its VIN dependend. So will be "locked" if you put unit to car with different VIN
