I have F15 N63 with two MEVD17.2.H DME want to clone a bank2 DME.
I have to working DME Sets. If i try to interchange a single DME with the data cloned the vehicle doesnt start.
It seems the dme sets only work using the same dme hardware. If i try clone the data or even match ISN the vehicle doesnt start. It brings up error 113026: Ignition relay and injectors, supply voltage, fuel injection: Short circuit to ground.
Are the two DME hardware inter-locked and only the paired hardware allows engine start?
Sometimes after cloning the engine starts once only then afterwards cranks only.

Both ECUs are MEVD17.2.H?
You made the clone with which hard- and software?

Yes, both dme are same mevd17.2.h
Used Hexprog tuner. The moment i try put another dme MEvd17.2h it doesnt work. Tested using two working DME sets.

After cloning the control unit, program it on the car. You are perfoming a full backup?

Yes, it full backup. After restoring the data I flashed btld and Swfl but nothing changes

These units use the same software! Just replace the ISN in the eeprom. I've done this many times.
