I have followed that page to the letter the only thing I don't have installed on that list is firefox, never have had it installed and scarys updates work fine, I will download the version 8 from you other post, It may be a few days before I can install it/ report back, but I will report back and see if that solves the issue

If you install Windows XP SP3 and do not install anything else, DiagBox will still work, .NET 3.5 is needed from 7.62+...
VC++ 2005 is needed and will be installed by DiagBox v7 and VC++ 2008 is installed by DiagBox v8.
Is there a chance that the update is corrupt?

It could be that update that is corrupt but it seems to go through the motions and does everything the other updates do untill you get to that screen where it says error.... One intresting thing tho one time it gave me that error snd the program loaded behind it displayed 7.66 and was working even tho that error was still on the screen but after o shut it down it wouldnt load up again just gets stuck on that error..

Try again, you must have made a mistake!!
The different downloads have different passwords, use copy and past if nothing else works.. May be you are using a different language keyboard layout??

HI!

i have installed win xp sp3

install diagbox to 7.76 all fine

for 7,82 i installed net 3.5

then install 7,82 reboot computer

after starting daigbox an error comes

Read stream error and daigbox dont start!!!

help me please

Are u running it as an admin( see further up how to run as admin in xp) also could be the install not install properly ..... i would wait till simple sees ur post he may have a few answers...... i found it a lot easier to install and use diagbox on windows 7 32 bit than xp now i have a decentish laptop to run it on.

Lurchy666's advice is correct, just ensure you uncheck "Protect my computer and data..." when you run DiagBox. If you have already run DiagBox successfully after installing Update v7.76, there is nothing more than ensuring that you have enough disk space and your network connection is disconnected!!

If you still have a problem, you may need to cleanly uninstall and reinstall, and if you still have a problem, please provide more information on your hardware and software platforms and installation process. But I think you seem to know your stuff and will fix it yourself.

Only other thing I had was to change the file version.ini to make my old laptop work, the file is stored at C:\AWRoot\bin\fi
