problem :

former technician have tried to delete immo off in this ECU, with shorting trick ( shorting pins of 27C512) ecu is now dead.
immo lamp lights up permanently ( dont blinking )

Customer can not find the same ECU ( seconds hand). he wants everything works airco and other extras too.
is all data stored in 27c512 ? or in TMS374? or just immo data is in 27c512?

Hi ,
Procedure immo this ECU safir 55 PIN :
1 / Open ECU EEPROM locate and remove the resin around
2 / If EEPROM is: 27C512, 27PC512, solder a wire with pin No.: 23
28F512, solder a wire with pin No.: 22
3 / Locate pin No. 37 on ECU connector, cut the thread that needs to be connected to it.
4 / Connect ECU to ignition ON, take the welded wire EEPROM touch the MASS 3s. TURN OFF IGNITION
5 / Reset contact, ground wire, cut contact until the immobilizer light stops flashing.
DO NOT LEAVE TOO LONG TO GROUND AT THE RISK OF FLASH GRILL

Yes, maps only in 27c512, you can extract and swap with the new sh ecu safir ( or read it in programmer ), big chances 27c512 is ok, only uP is broken from shorts inside...Big mistake to do the job as did with shortening pins inside Reno immo tool did the job best in 1h50mins with 100% success.

Hi My Friend, I have last night decoded a safir 35 pins by renault tool. without risk with 100% success.
I need ori.dump of safir 55 pins with airco. 35 pins is easy to find, but 55 pins is realy diffucult. I do not see so often this ecu.
