XZBMW  Change scale EFF DYN SPORTS DISPLAY through coding possible?
Hello,

Today I had my car engine ecu remaped. I have F30 220D with standard 120KW and 380NM. After remap 163KW and 460NM.
In the sports display on the CIC te meters are end of scale by 160KW and 400NM

Question now is can i change te (END)scale of the sports display though coding the cic. So far i scanned te settings in the cic but i could'nt find the right setting.

I've seen other (end) scales on differend car types so i think it must be possible.

Has anybody an idee???

Regards Twoone

Your type code it's 3D31 ?
change in FA this parameter in 3E51 and code only CIC, i reccomend only CIC, don't write this FA modified in CAR, if anything even kombi if the scale no changes

Hello BMWzone,
Thanks for your reply!

Under FA, type, type key is 2E11, is this the value you mentioned?

How change only FA in CIC? Or do you mean change FA than FA code CIC and change back FA to old level? Sorry maybee stupid question but i have this car only for two months now and before i had an E90 where FA was only in 3 ecu's.

Edit FA changing typschlüssel in 3E51, save This FA -- Coding section -- Load and activate this FA modified and code only CIC and kombi, obvious FDL code Sports Display

XZBMW  RE: Change scale EFF DYN SPORTS DISPLAY through coding possible?
Hello Mr BMWzone,

I Followed your instructions without results.tears

After that i changed setting in CIC 3004 system settings, product line. I tried 5 different settings and by two of the settings i had input and scale settings of power and torque and by the other tree settings now power and torque signal and NO SCALE INDICATION. So I think that these SCALE signals are PIA Inports so they come from another module than the CIC( power and torque signals are comming from DME i think ).Also scale indication i think maybee it is not the KOMBI but the DME.

DME 3700 mit zeitlimit, Leistungsklasse. now set to initwert.

I don't now the influence for the rest of the system so maybee is not a good idee to change this value? Do you have experience with this value?
Other settings are : uul, ul, ol, TL, SL, Alpina

Leistungsklasse = i think power klasse so maybee this setting is used by cic for scale setting.

When I changed FA and coded CIC the cylinder nummer in the cic changed to 6 but this does not say everything about the amount of power.
For example, nowdays 225D engine is 4 cylinder with 220 horsepower so this engine need also higher scale on power and torque meters. thats the reason i think now that DME setting is responssible for the scale.

Do you think i can change this value in DME or is it to risky?

Regards
Twoone.

RE: Change scale EFF DYN SPORTS DISPLAY through coding possible?
We have tried...
You can't change any parameters to DDE in this moment.
Also if you change them, it makes you think you have changed but the changes do not take, only new DDE or at zero hours counter

RE: Change scale EFF DYN SPORTS DISPLAY through coding possible?
Hello,

has anyone successfully rescaled bmw sport display?
I found on another forum that it is possible and guy showed a picture from his bmw 435d where tuner rescaled his Sport display. I am doing a little research in available damos file from bmw f10.

Folder name in damos is VBUKBMW SW-Sharing Delivery:

Maps are:
Filterkonstante für die Leistungs- und Momentenanzeige KF_EDA_ANZ_SPORT_FILT_KONST

Anpassung des Moments für die Performanceanzeige
KF_EDA_ANZ_SPORT_MDK_IST

Anpassung des Moments für die Performanceanzeige
KF_EDA_ANZ_SPORT_MD_EM1_IST

Umskalierung fuer die Kommunikation
KL_EDA_MD_BSSCAL2BUS

Anzahl der Bereiche in der Anzeige
K_EDA_ANZ_SPORT_BEREICHE

There multiple of these maps:

Basisskalierung pro Bereich in der Anzeige
K_EDA_MD_ANZ_SPORT_BS_SCAL_COD0

etc.

Has anyone played with this?

RE: Change scale EFF DYN SPORTS DISPLAY through coding possible?
not possible via coding!
person who done remap should be able to change the scale as all is coded in dde ecu
but most of the tuners dont know how
