RE: Flash F22 to latest I-Level with ENET Cable
Well I'm not going to update it with the ENET Cable. I just ordered an ICOM A2.
However, flashing a NBT with ENET is possible. Especially if you have problems flashing with ICOM. In this thread (http://cartechnology.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=9162) it is actually a solution if NBT Flash is not possible with ICOM. Using a router or a local DHCP Server works as well, of course. |

RE: Flash F22 to latest I-Level with ENET Cable
I am trying to understand why some people are discouraging updating the car using an ENET cable.
Is it because ENET (RJ45 ethernet) is slower than ICOM (USB)? Is there any other cable which would do it faster? Thanks! |

It's not about the cable. It's depend on car gateway how fast can handle data

RE: Flash F22 to latest I-Level with ENET Cable
Those who discourage ENET for flashing don't know what they are talking about.
Which one would you trust more? 1. Basic ethernet cable 2. Chinese clone of complex interface (ICOM) |

Where says that we use clone?
Think about why BMW buy ICOM for 500€ and use it and not ENET Cable for 50€. And no the solution is not that BMW AG has to much money. Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk |

RE: Flash F22 to latest I-Level with ENET Cable
Wy BMW have ICOM?
It's a MUX with can handle al the protocol's from al different BMW models. ADS , K-Line , D-CAN, Ethernet and MOST. ENET only for F serie's so i think this is the main reason wy BMW have expensive ICOM device. ICOM on F serie i think use also ethernet protocol for programming so in basic ENET is as good as ICOM for programming F serie's. However there might be some software dependant things wat could make a difference , but i don't now exactly how this works. I now that in ICOM java software is used. |
