XZBMW  E90 Dashboard shows 999997km / Virgin the EEPROM-M35080
Hi guys,

i just try at the moment to "virgin" a E90 dashboard.

I desolder the old eeprom from the dashboard (M35080VP) and read it with X-PROG 5.55.
Then i set the VIN to FFFFFF and first two lines of the odometer sector to 000000...
After this i write the new "virgin" file to a new EEPROM a 080D0WQ.
Write success and a read says that is all ok.
Now i solder the new eeprom to the dash and set 12v to pin 18 and pin 9.

But now the Dashboard shows 999997km?!
I know that the Dashboard must show 999998km when the odometer are erased.

Now my Question:
Is 999997km ok?!

PS: the manipulation point was on before i change the eeproms.

I had this problem once. after driving 3 kilometers dash showed 0km smile
You can also set 10km in eeprom and it also will be ok. Dash will get proper odometer from CAS after turning ignition on.

Try taking the negative battery terminal off for a few minutes and then back on again.

Hi, if you get AVDI its a easy job, first set cas to 0km, after put dash with km that you want, and after put dash in car and adjust vin by obd

I doesn't think that AVDI set the KM to lower (0) over OBD.

Dash will show this mileage with top 2 lines set to 0000 it is normal tamper dot is on because cluster is out of vehicle and there is no chassis no
