Hello guys,

i've a question about dme lusting in Inpa.
My drive is a 335i with n55 engine. the dme mevd 17.2.x is not listet in Inpa. Wich possibiltys are there to change?

In my INPA install I see MEV17_2.IPO and MED17_2.IPO files, so I guess one of these is what you need. You can edit you chassis file (usually in C:\EC-APPS\INPA\CFGDAT) with notepad and add corresponding line to it. For example in file E90.ENG (for English) or E90.GER (for german) add line
ENTRY= MEV17_2,MEV 17.2,
in the [ROOT_MOTOR] section. Please note first parameters MEV17_2 must correspond to .IPO file name in SGDAT folder, the second is just a displayed text, so you can put whatever you want. And I see a comma at the end of other lines, so probably that is also required.

Sorry, last version of Inpa is which?

Last Ediabas I know of is 7.3.0 which seems to have INPA 5.00 inside. But data is installed separately and I don't know the way how to tell which version data it is. *.IPO files seems to be of 2004-2006.

ECU folder in Ediabas has somewhat never prg files of 2010 for MEV17_2 and MED17_2. Now I'm looking at ISTA+ files it has much never files and also files called MEVD17_2. So I think its best you upgrade from INPA to ISTA+ for diagnosis of this DME. You can find it in this forum, last version around is 3.55.11

Or the F30 has N55 engine so you can test it.
