I found something out that may not be important (or maybe important) so I thought I would share.

If I run this ISTA-P on an old D630 with C2D 2.00 and 2Gb RAM, I get a warning saying showing required specs for ISTA 4, but I can click ok to continue.

However sometimes this laptop has an error and doesn't detect the 2nd DIMM so I only have 2Gb detected/useable.

Then I get the same warning window with no text. If I click OK, it closes ISTA-D, if I click the cross in the top right corner I can continue to use ISTA-D.

The fact that it doesn't really want to happily run with 2Gb makes me think there must be a reason for this (F-Series programming?)

There are definite requirements for Rheingold. They can be viewed and edited if you have an msi installation with a program like SuperOrca, which is helpful with minimum hard drive but I would not want to run this resource heavy program on an under spec system. Both v3.55.11 as well as v4 have new requirements. I believe you need at least 3GB ram. Some of the newer F-series ECU's are rather large and just reading them in E-sys can drag and necessitate rebooting program without an adequate system. It really depends on JAVA Virtual Machine settings and management.

I am personally running a SSD + secondary hybrid drive, 16 GB ram, and 5th Gen Intel 2.8 GHz processor. In general, I struggle and get frustrated on a system with less than 6-8 GB ram due to heavy resource programs and multi-tasking.

Which cable can I buy for the program? There are many fake cables.. Please, give me a link from where you bought it.

On what type of vehicles are you working? Is this for personal or commercial use? E-series use interface K+DCAN or ICOM, F-series and G-series use ENET or ICOM. I have not seen that many fake ENET, but fake or clone ICOM and K+DCAN can have issues.
