Etl 908 RS232 to usb Converter
Hi guys had before dell d630 with Post db9 which i was using for etl908
now i got new/strong laptop lenovo thinkpad x220 . but the prolem have not DB9 input .
so my question if is there way to convert DB9 to usb ?

USB to Serial adapter, but some work better than others.

This one is proven to work with Tech2 so it must be a good one. smile

US-232R-10 or US-232R-100 are great USB to RS232 converters that are easily available at reasonable prices.

The 10 version has 10cm lead, 100 version has 100cm lead. This lead is nice as it has Tx/Rx LED's so you can see when data is actually being transferred.

They are based on FTDI chipset so don't randomly dropout like others (well that is what I found with Merc C3).

US-232R-10/100 should be the original evaluation cable made by FTDI - other cables with Chinese/cloned FTDI chips can get blocked via Windows Update.

However even if a clone FTDI gets blocked, just send me a PM and I will post details on how to use the "blocked" device in a new thread.
