Ista for motorcycle?

RE: Ista for motorcycle?
i am sorry, I have no clue what diagram I used 2 years ago. All I remember is I ordered 3 cables from china. One worked directly, but did not have the external power cable connection so I added that. The other was completely pinned wrong and I cut the connector apart and repinned it and added the external power connection cable. the other cable is still in the bag in case I need to build another some day. Well, BMW decided 10 pin was a hassle I guess and put a standard J1962 OBDII connector on the 2017/18 S1000RR, and most likely others too.

K+DCAN 10pin motorbike
7 pin diag pin 1
16 pin KL30 B+ pin 6
4, 5 pin KL31 GND pin 4
9 pin KL15 Ign. pin 10

sorry, but I can not edit my post!

1 pin KL15 Ign. pin 10

Just to double check

Code:
K+DCAN       ->       10pin OBD

   7         ->          1
  16         ->          6
  4,5        ->          4
   1         ->          10

If this is correct, that's not good, because that is the exact cable I got.

I looked for the S1000RR diagram and found this one, which was different from the cable I got.
I was planning on trying to connect it this way tonight, but no so sure anymore

RE: Ista for motorcycle?
The motorbike don't use "L-line".
But they need to detect the KL15 (ignition). This is bike pin 10 to OBDII pin1.
