RE: Is there a 12v power adapter for ICOM A2?
2 methods I know round this issue:
1: Plug ICOM into any car with 16 pin OBD port and update it. Pin 4-5 Earth and pin 16 Terminal 30 seems to be standard on every car I've seen. 2: Get 12V PSU, cut OBD connector off scrap car. Connect OBD connector to 12V PSU and power up ICOM on bench, then update it. However I am guessing you have an ICOM to diagnose BMW. Why not just wait until next time you need to diagnose a BMW and update ICOM before starting job? |

Confirmed I wasn't sure i could do it using a non BMW, but I successfully updated my ICOM NEXT using a Benz OBD port as my power supply today since my BMW has been in the bodyshop for a month now. If this post helped you in anyway please use the thanks and/or REP buttons down here. Thanks!

RE: Is there a 12v power adapter for ICOM A2?
I use a 12v power supply from a CB radio
1 & 16 to 12v 4 & 5 to ground I modified the ICOM C, opening the OBD socket screws and put 12v to pin 16 and then link wire to pin 1, pins 4 & 5 already linked so soldered ground here. NOTE: Pin 1 (Terminal 15) is not really needed, but I put meter on these pins and calibrated the eeprom so the ICOM Clone was reading the correct voltages as per my Fluke Meter. |

Buy a ODB plug and a 12V supply, must have minimum 2 ampere.
Cost not more than 10€ |
