Vw golf 4 brake bleeding procedure
Wonder if someone can shed some light on the correct procedure to bleed brakes on a golf mk 4, ive replaced the rear callipers on my partners car, but cant for the life of me get a brake pedal, I have used a pressure bleeder, had the car jacked very high at rear whilst changing callipers, no leaks or weeping of fluid anywhere, but I cant get a footbrake at all, reservoir never ran dry, and ive only bled the rears, and there was minimal fluid loss when disconnecting the brake pipes from the old rear callipers, is there a specific sequence to do it right as ive now used 3 litres of fluid, there seems to be no air when bleeding through the rear calliper nipples
hope someone can tell me the correct way

thanks

RE: Vw golf 4 brake bleeding procedure
Hey, I dunno if you still require help but it sounds like you have allowed air to get into the system, normally it sits in the ABS module, you need to run basic settings in the pump to allow it to self bleed (using vaspc or Odis), it runs the pump itself and the kicks the pedal and then tells you to depress it down x10. sometimes the pedal still refuses to come back, if this is the case after running this you can leave a long bar depressing the brake pedal over night? A long screw driver or pry bar works jammed up to the seat and to the pedal,

hope this helps
