ZTAudi  Q7 4M MIB2 Firmware Info
I know this is a big ask, but I'm looking for information and hopefully softwares for Audi Q7 4M 2015 + model.

I know first MY16 cars here come with software version 0358, some newer cars came with 0442 and newest MY17 cars have 0678. The Software version menu doesn't appear to show P/K/etc... so not sure if these still exist for MIB2.

Does anyone have anymore info or any download links?

Thanks all.

All updates for the MIB2 from my understanding require an SD card that only the dealer can order. This SD card goes into the MIB2 and updates all components on the optical MOST including the instrument cluster (Virtual Cluster). It runs QNX linux... So in a nutshell, you need to get a copy of the firmware off your MIB2 or try and get an SD update card.. It's not straight forward.

Hi NavigationMaster!

Are you able to share software for Audi Q7 4M? Have a car on MMI 0358 and Virtual Cockpit on 0274.

Looking to update them via SD Card to later versions!

Feel free to PM me to discuss a plan if ok with you!

Thanks

Andy

Foe completeness, the VC has separate update media. It is updated using ODIS online with SVM code via the SD card slot in the MIB2. So firmware updates for Q7 MIB2 and VC are done via SD cards (but separately). The part numbers I am aware of are:

MIB2: 4M0 901 961B (Release 358)
VC: 8S0 901 961Q (Release 280)

Issue with these part numbers is that other versions , "C" for instance for the MIB2 is for the new A6 with MIB2 High (release 2519 - don;t know what number shows up in MIB2 after upgrade). In ETKA you can search for these SD update media BUT they do not tell you what car they are applicable for ;-( The only way to find out is to open the
"metainfo2.txt" file in the upgrade which tells you what version the media will update the VC or MIB2 to. So from metainfo2.txt for 4M0 906961B we get - this is train :k2140 which equates to update 0358:

#############################################################################
#
# This is the description file for the Software Update of Audi components
#
#############################################################################

[common]
release = "MHI2_ER_AUG22_K2140_1"
MUVersion = "0358"

So this update upgrades the mib2 to version "0358".

For the MIB2 with update medium starting with 4M0 XXX XXX, these are the releases I am aware of:

4M0 906 961 (A6)
4M0 906 961 A (TT) -
4M0 906 961 B (Q7) - 358
4M0 906 961 C (A6) -
4M0 906 961 H (Q7) - reversing display version?

With the VC, this is the only information I have:

8S0 906 961 H (Q7) - 274
8S0 906 961 J (A4) - 275
8S0 906 961 K (TT) - 265
8S0 906 961 L (TT)
8S0 906 961 Q (Q7) - 280
8S0 906 961 R (TT) - 268

hopefully helpful to those looking at doing upgrades...
