Thanks for the information, it is OEM ICOM from bmw germany, not chinese clone. Will try this tomorrow.

Edit: Successful restored and updated.
Note: when ICOM restarts it remain with red lights for some time, must wait more time and return to green again.

I make the same fault, dont wait enough time, but it worked with red lights whew

was your problem via msi and ista update or by webserver.
msi what i have is 100% original bmw and nobody havent tell me before this it have fail

So i'll risk it and flash cic with icom next.

So guys, i can confirm: The bug IS STILL PRESENT!!!

Flashing 0x63 part of cic with icom next takes forever...
Same problem and speed like Darmands, ~16% after 4 hour.

I canceled this flash an restarted it with cheap icom a2 china clone.
The clone did it in less than 30 minutes...

ICOM is geniune icom next, with remote:most_async_ab625 setting

I'm sure this is a dumb question....how do I get to the connection manager? So I can update the FW. I've never had to use it.

I bought a ICOM NEXT on ebay. It looks right...but when I try to flash this firmware (via web) it says the file is for a different type, (or something like that)
Should I do it anyway?
