Very nice job indeed. Was the ID6 working? I just studied this today and found out that (at least currently) there are only two sofware choises, ID4 and ID5. At least it looks like this.

Just flash with ID6 compatible date and u will get id6 software on evo. U need at least v59 psdzdata!

I was trying to go back to ID4 so that I could delete the FSCs.

From my test it seems not possible, but we can make some "brutal" tests... In this way your Evo is a matal box, not more... So we can risky a bit!

I'm thinking of comparing TAL files from the successful ID6 to ID5 downgrade from ir0n87 with your TAL for downgrade ID5 to ID4. Maybe some line is not correct.

With my test the problem is bootloader.

ID4 has bootloader V1
ID5 has bootloader V2
ID6 has bootloader V3

My unit was 003 after upgrade from 001 (ID4).
I tried a lot of time to flash back loader to 001 (i calculater TAL with a F31 LCI FA). Bootloader flash begin, it reach 100% but never finalize it.

Normally bootloader flash is made in this way:

- PC send bootloader .bin to "old" bootloader NBT
- "old" bootloader flash itself to new bootloader

In this case it seems that PC can send 001 bootloader but flash inside NBT never starts.

If u try to flash 002 bootloader over 003 one, it loads to 100% and fanalizeEcuBl starts without any problem!

I tried to download this past weekend, without success. My unit had ID4 FSCs, and was upgraded to the latest spec (59.3.x). I tried to flash with 56.5 (not 56.3 that you tried) and although the bootloader appeared to work, it would not take the SWFL. I don't remember the exact error. I will try again. Can you post the FA/SVT/TAL files, so we can make sure we are comparing apples with apples?

But according to Pshoey, he successuflly flashed bootloader to ID4, but it stopped at SWFL deploy.

If he managed to get BL 001 version, swfl is not a problem!! Wait for him!

V56 seems to have bootloader main versions 001 (id4) and 002 (id5?). V59.3 has versions 001 and 003. 003 is id5, maybe it also contains id6? I will flash one unit today to v59.3 and test.

I think last bootloader is the same for id5/6... Just flash with in id6 date and u will get id6
