I own RNS315 VW
When overwrite the CID it tells :

"Error Connection Time out
Failed to enter vendor mode"

I done step 8 & 9 (from benyclaudiu)

8. Now test whether the SD card slot / cardreader is compatible. To do this, type df
You will now see devices connected to the system.
Very important here: you must see an entry "/ dev / mmcblk *", if you see only one entry with "/ dev / sd **", you know that this cardreader is incompatible.
Mine is ::: / dev / sdb1
9. Now you have to test whether the microSD card is compatible. To do this, type the following command
Ls -l / sys / block | Grep mmc
There are now a series of many entries. Look for a line with the "mmc0: 0001" entry, if you find it, you can use the microSD card. If you have an entry with zb. "Mmc0: 59b4", you can stop or test another microSD card.

You need a password for your cid.......dont buy other cards.....you canot find an good samsung....if you need password for your cid....pm

Samsung Evoplus SD cards made in Philippines doesn't allow changing CID any more..Backdor has been patched from the vendor long time ago. You must find SD Samsung SD made in Korea, that one most likely will do the job.
