Program physical key using Nissan Consult
Hi,
I purchased a new fob and key and recently got the key cut and so far it seems to unlock the doors. I have tried to program it to the car but when i turn the key the car does not start it just turns. I have managed to register the Intelligent Key (fob) and can start the car without the need for the physical key, but if I insert the key it will not allow me to turn the barrel. any one got experience with Nissan Consult software and guide me how to register the key? Thanks M |

RE: Program physical key using Nissan Consult
Just did one myself, you need the correct code for your BCM that should allow you to release your steering column lock then do the c/u initialization. There is a NVIS manual that I am trying to find that gives the correct steps to follow in that procedure. If I miss anything could someone with more knowledge/experience please correct .

When using the consult to register the key it does allow me to turn the key in the barrel but could it be because my intelligent key is in proximity and it is allowing me to do so. As for the code for the BCM it seems the NATS side sorts that out with the consult software I have as I managed to register the intelligent key with out the need for a code. I will try again today and write the steps down to see what rings a bell. Thanks for the reply. M |
