Hello can sombody point me in the right direction as im a newbie abit confusing,

I have an audi a7 2012 mmi touch with simcard so 3g Plus - My software says (HN+_DAB_K0097.

1. I have read somehwere that on audi a7 firmware should start with HN+R mine does not have the R - Do i update using the +R version or not?

2. im finding it difficult to figure out which version i should download can you point me in the direction i would like the latest if possible?

You probably have Bang&Olufsen or Bose sound system? You should be fine with K0900 or K0942 HN+R firmware but before you update go to green menu and tick USER DEFINED under SWDL option so you can disable sound system update (DAB or BOSE) when choosing what to update in user defined mode.

Thank you forgot i made this post, i managed to sort it its just a really old firmware which did not have the R in it, i do not have the bang or bose - so just did the k0900 update and done everything seems to be working so far, not sure if im needed to go to the K0942, just need to update the maps now just need to have a spare few hours.

Got the latest Firmware for my A6 (C7).

All updated sucessfully with Maps and Activator.

Now wanting to update my friends Q7 (2015), but when the Firmware DVD loaded, it came up with an error, so we cancelled.

K0942 is the Firmware I tried to add.

His Version on the screen is showing :-

HN+EU_AU3G_P0782
MU Software 0809

The message error shows :-

A variant conflict occured!
MainUnit variant :9498
Release Info Variant : 9425 9406 9407
9408 9409 9410 9411

What Firmware is required for the Q7 ?

Also the Maps and Activator used for the A6 updgade, are they the same once the firmware has been updated, or do I need different maps and Activator ?

firmware for Q7 is different than for A6

if you have + maps in a6 so maps are the same and activator is the same
