Russian snapshot works on icom clone so i'm not planning to provide any more snapshots.

That's true, no need for new snapshots. BTW thanks for your effort on this subject yes

RE: ISTA P 2.51.3 VM
Thanks to the good instructions in this thread I managed to get it almost workings wink

My efforts:
- Installed patched EDIABAS from post #101 directly on Host
- Connected K+DCAN cable directly to Host
- Configuration of OBD.ini / COM Ports
- Changed Networkconfig from Virtual Network Adapter on Host to 169.254.0.1
- Executed ifhsrv32.exe from C:\EDIABAS\BIN

When I run the ISSS VM with snapshop K+DCAN and start a new session the ifhsrv32 on host shows the IP of the ISSS.

>> Network Settings should be O.K.

After a few moments the ISSS asks for manual input of the VIN as it didn't found it by itself.

Did somebody experience similar problems? Or did I miss a config / setting?

Did led flash on k+dcan cable? make sure you start ifhsrv32.exe after you have plugged the cable in (not before). Try setting up the cable mode using dcan tool.

Some cars require pins 7 & 8 connected for programming.

I've also modified the snapshot so it'll work with ICOM emulator V3.1 from my other thread [change network adaptor 1 from bridged to custom(vmnet2) if using the emulator].

Notes:

1. delete all other snapshots before using this one.
2. parentCID of snapshot ISSS.000001 needs to match CID code of your main ISSS.vmdk disk (see post #23 for help if needed).
3. Does not work with original OEM ICOMs.

So can I use this with OPS?

Yes. The original Russian snapshots in the torrent didn't support OPS or ICOM A2 clone. Also ENET had problems. Because I have created new snapshot you can now use the ICOM emulator V3.1 for OPS and ENET (and K+DCAN if you want). So to clarify, this one snapshot will work with:

ICOM A Clone
ICOM A2 Clone
K+DCAN, OPS, OPPS & ENET (via ICOM emulator V3.1. http://garage-automotive.com/showthread.php?tid=3232).

snapshots is mine
i have protect it
doesnt work

I have got it working.

Info: also works with K+DCAN (only on cars without MOST fibre optic network). No emulator required.

How to use:

1. Create a folder called istap (or whatever you want to call it) and extract the ista archive to that folder.
2. Extract the snapshots archive.
3. Copy contents of snapshot folder into istap folder. Click yes to overwrite existing files when prompted.
4. Open the ista/p vm in VMware workstation and start it using the snapshot for your chosen interface (no dongle required).

Notes: the snapshots are in Russian. But you can change the language in the ista settings (spanner icon) then create a new snapshot for your chosen language.

Expert mode is already activated.

Beside I appear at desksides of the hard disk here is this....,. that I do?

Follow instructions from post 23 in this thread and should work fine.

I did notice that Beemerboys snapshots the Parent CID is already corrected how it needs to be.
