Other solution is to connect D+CAN Cable directly to the host where the ISTA P VM runs (use Snapshot "K+DCAN USB (ifhrsv.exe)" on VM).
Check post #101 - there are the detailed steps for this method. Did you try to change mode of D+CAN Cable with DCAN.exe? |

About a week ago I've installed the above mentioned programs. the program itself runs butwhen I`m trying to connect with Icom problems arise.
The program finds the device but the status says "can not be used". Maybe someone can explain where the problem is and how to prevent it? with Rheingold ICOM works! I use VM 10 |

Also try updating your icom firmware. notes: It does not work with original OEM icoms. |

ISTAP is for programming???! Only interface for that is BMW ICOM or ICOMA2. Never, ever try to programming with others interface.
AND don't forget extra Power supply for car, about 30A to 70A(newer cars) Why people try to use this with D-CAN or K-CAN? ..........Remember, i have warning you ^^ Was I helpful?
