The ones in the torrent or the English ones from post #33. If using snapshots in the torrent - use procedure from post #24. If using English snapshots from post #33: 1. Open ISSS.vdmk in hex editor and write down the disk CID then close it. 2. Now change the "parent CID" of all the snapshot files 000001, 000002 etc. using the hex editor to the CID you wrote down in step one. Do one at a time and make sure you click save. If that doesn't work then I cannot help you. |

RE: ISTA P 2.51.3 VM
Hello.
I have tried everything. I have the 44 GB torrent downloaded and extracted per instructions in post #24 with CID changed to 24b38fdd on 000001 and still get the "parent CID child disk error" all the time no matter what. If I continue on changing "parent CID" with 000002 and 000003 with original snapshots from torrent it then starts to boot windows xp but then errors out with a "WMI connection error". I then saw your new English snapshot post. I downloaded it and extracted and replaced parent CID's in 000001 , 000002, etc.... per the instructions. I then get a "windows cannot find system file error" when trying to boot If I leave CID's as is in snapshot (most of them are already changed to 24b38fdd except 000003, that I left "as is" due to it wouldn't boot if I changed it to 24b38fdd). I am beginning to wonder if I somehow have a corrupt vmware image? I have tried both VMware 9 and 10 with all correct network settings with no luck. "WMI connect failed!" error with original snapshots when it boots. Need sum assistance if you don't mind please. Thanks in advance! |

Close it. 4. change the snapshots parentcid codes if needed (change parent CID only) 5. open isss in VMware and start it using the snapshot for your interface (do not do a direct boot). question: what cpu do you have? |
