Hello, I would like to solve CP also, but my case is little bit worse.

I have 2 cars - Audi A6 saloon 2008 and Audi A6 Avant 2006
I drive one, my sister drives another. She somehow managed to put her MMI 2G into bootloader, but her cd changer is in bad condition and reading Audi update CD fails everytime. So in good will, I took her complete MMI 2G out of car, let her drive to holidays with her family and promised to fix the unit before she returns... I wanted to put her MMI in my car, use my good changer, upload system through CD back BUT i never imagined, that even in bootloader, the MMI would not work because of component protection - basically, it shows loading screen, but after few seconds, changer switches completely off... And of course, I do not have her cars gateway dump... Im even totally not sure that it would help, when MMI cannot be reached by cars diagnostic bus... so I guess cannot lift component protection, so I kind of dont know how to fix it...

Can anybody give me some advice please?

I can help u for component protection removal but It's not a good idea bro, because in this case u need to remove component protection two times first time when u wanna update the module -and 2nd time when u need to install it again to ur client car

So the best thing is to do the update when ur client car is available

if you cant reach Control head by diagnosis that's mean there missing power supply or MMi mudule damaged ,.. but first you can check fuses , if fuses good then need 2nd hand MMI ,, open in and replace eeprom MSSOP8,, well not needed remove CP then

Its just my sisters car... So theres no problem with CP.

Its just like - i cannot fix the bootloader loop issue from her car because her CD changer is not good...

Thats why I wanted to put it in my car - mine works well... Im afraid theres no other possibility how to repair the FW and get it out of bootloader screen...

And... If by some miracle, I would be able to reach it by vag? What is the procedure?

You can put your cd charger into the car from your sis and make than an update ,this update works also if the device have Cp active.

basically, this it not possible because as I wrote in previous post - she went on holidays and I promissed to fix it before she returns... thats why i need to do in on table, or in my car, somehow...

So is there any way??
