ODIS with DoIP inteface
Hi,
I would like to ask how process of connection by DoIP interface looks like under ODIS ? I know that VAS5054a does not have this protocol/function. Can we use somhow BMW ENET cable ? Does it need some special settings or some new VAG interface ? Please adivce ... |

Connect to modern VAG and ODIS S will say it is setting up DOIP connection in bottom right hand corner.
The bit that has me confused is the cars that show that message I believe are UDS cars, and I'm pretty sure my 5054 has no DOIP capabilities. This sounds crazy, but my conclusion is that for some reason VAG decided to pretend UDS is called DOIP. |

What I know for now DoIP is only implemented in new Audi cars, for MLB-evo platform, like Audi Q7 4M , Audi A4 8W, Audi A5 8W, Audi Q5 FY0. I guess ENET cabel could be used, just question is how connection should be set-up for ODIS DoIP. |

Sorry I'm not too hot with VAG, but I notice if I connect to older stuff, approx. 2006-2008 onwards, in bottom right hand corner where ODIS S shows status the first thing will be configuring DOIP communication.
Never had to configure anything myself, and I don't believe those cars use DOIP, but that is what ODIS S says when using it. |

Thank you for answer.
As I mentioned DoIP is in use now in Audi. BMW ENET cable seems to be sufficent. Just question is how to configure ODIS for that, if it is possible at all. For solution in development phase please look at web page and videos links. |
