RE: Good or Bad Vas5054A
What is most important, original amb or original oki?
I will use USB always I think.
If anyone have a link to a 5054 that is working with latest ODIS I don't care if it is fake, as long as it is working smile

RE: Good or Bad Vas5054A
OKI is for Ford based VAG's, if you only do VAG based VAG's then no OKI needed, if you going to use with USB then no BT needed BUT you have to change the softing files to make it work with latest ODIS

RE: Good or Bad Vas5054A
Only Audi coding and remote help with component protection removal.
I also need to do some reset or upgrade til MMI 3G.
So then AMB2300 is the most important i guess?

RE: Good or Bad Vas5054A
Hi friends

Following my adventure to rework the VAS5054 here are the components received. As i have a Nec 4V relay i ordered a Nec 4.5 V but he came already to use smile

There are also different markings between the product of the ad and the one that is received, i do not know if it is worth replacing.

The chip RAM is well mark but i have a doubt for its originaliter sad i will finally take the risk to solder everything.

My tools and products to desoldering are: Pump to suck, welding braid, Hakko 936, air gun hot...

To weld the components: solder paste, solder braid, solder flux, a hot air gun and clamps to hold the components ...

I'm waiting for some missing components to get into this adventure "VASTOMEL" big respect to all friends and especially to Fantomel smile
