Wonder if i can get help please, got C739717 with nav from America, how easy is it to swap it so it takes European map please?

also my friends car has got greyed out nav. for sure unit is from different car. is it fixable please?

yes. just follow the guide and patch the cic with your own FSC pack

I followed the instruction/suggestions given in this post and was able to sign and upload all the certificates using FSTool. FSC now shows all certificates activated(Voice and Professional Nav), however Navigation menu is still grayed out. The last task pending is to update the map, but is it due to map update the Navigation is till grayed out? Also I have signed and loaded the 1B, but I am looking at updating map for South East Asia, will the system accept it or I need template specific to SE Asia Map. Lastly any reference where I can download SE Asia Map at a reasonable price?

Update: Got it all working and updated the Map to SEA Premium. I guess you have to wait for around 30 minutes post FSC upload and Navigation will kick in. It asked me to activate the Navigation, used 2010 Eurpoe Premium FSC code and it started all well. Got a SE Asia 2019 Premium in Ebay and updated my map.All works great except GPS antenna, which I guess is the last hardware I need.

Yes pretty much you have summarized it.
Europe Map needed code as well, so I used the CICFSC Generator to create 2010 Europe Map code and it started working.
Post that inserted new SEA Map of USB and it asked for Code again, used CICFSC Generator code for 2019 SEA Premium to update it

Yes, I also had a bit of a doubt and was wondering if its gonna work, but I think map region is not related to anything else, and you can update map to any region provided you have the right codes and that is where CICFSC Generator came in handy. I was also surprised to note that despite of "No Navigation", MAP is already loaded in the CIC, mine was 2010 EU Premium. CIC module "Country" still shows ECE and I did not change anything there.

Radio, USB, CD and other settings works as it was working before. The only little change I noticed was my CIC version, when I load CIC module in NCSExpert it shows CIC_08 for sometime and when I read ECU it changes back to CIC.C1A, but nothing much have changed in terms of any functionalities.
