The only little change I noticed was my CIC version, when I load CIC module in NCSExpert it shows CIC_08 for sometime and when I read ECU it changes back to CIC.C1A, but nothing much have changed in terms of any functionalities.

this is normal, nothing to worry about. ncs does that with many modules. it s important the version it shows you after you read the ecu, that is the actual version of your unit

I just exchanged CCC for CIC in E70. CiC was `encoded in NCS by Icom. The script was started correctly. I want to activate the navigation in fs tool, I go to point 10 in the manual and stop at this point. Below photo.
Please help.

Hello, it seems to me that you have bad values entered in Application, for map is 1B, for Navi is 19, and Diagnosis address, correct is 63.

Hi All,

I need a little guidance on my problem on loading the 1B file. FSC and FSC Cert will absolutely not load. I keep getting an error see attached pictures from FS Tool and FSC tools 2.18. 3 x root CERT from intel123 is loaded and active.

Any ideas?
Any one who wants to give it a try remotely?

I have tried almost everything, and sucessfully loaded FSC codes before on other cars.

Actually I realized the configuration of FS Tool2 was incomplete, that's why I got the 2090 error. I followed the BMW installation instruction for FS tool2 and changed the C:\Temp\fstool\install.bat file where the directory of which java version its pointing at is determined. It must be 1.4 or 1.5. 

1. Installation
1) Start fstool.exe and extract files to C:\Temp\
2) Start new installation of Carservers with Batch-Data C:\Temp\fstool\CSF-V15.0.0.11\Inst_Default.bat
3) Deactivate and close Windows "VServer" in the system settings 
4) Start the Batch-Datei C:\Temp\fstool\install.bat
4.a.) Add the Java filepath in FSTool Startdata:
The Batch-Programm in 4) opens an editor in the background automatic. The Startdata in the FSTools must be configured. Please add the Java Installation file path in the system "SET JAVA_HOME="  here (e.g. " SET JAVA_HOME=C:\EC-Apps\JavaSoft\JRE\1.4.2_06 ") and save and close the Editor.  
5) Start FS tool

Now everthing works

I was successfully able to activate my CIC with FSTool! I currently have the navigation and voice recognition working perfectly. However, I cannot re-activate my satellite radio or BMW Apps. I paid for a lifetime Sirius subscription (non transferable) so I need to get this radio to work again.
I have attached screenshot of me trying to import the cert and FSC; it won't load into the CIC. When I run a "get status" job, it can't find the original FSC on the machine. However, ISTA seems to be able to locate it. I have FSTool's parameters set to 63,6F,1. Is there a different address I should be using? The BMW Apps (9C) is doing the same thing.

Also, what is "2D" as seen in ISTA?

Try restarting the headunit, and click the activate upgrade. Elsewise please see my last post, if this could influence the error message from carserver.

I've tried restarting after every import with no go. The original FSC has to be in the headunit, but I cannot read or write to it. There has to be a setting that needs changing within FSTool.

Just to give an update, I was finally able to get FSTool to read the original 6F and 9C certs in the CIC - I had to update the carserver files to newer versions. I successfully imported 9C, and the BMW Apps are working! But, I still cannot import 6F. I have attached the "Get Status" screen, the old FSC is still installed. Is there an error reference code that I can look up in the car server?
