Hi,
I have an Audi A5 with 3GP MMI (with SIM) currentlly on firmware 530. I have been trying to update the firmware to 614 by:
1. starting the MMI
2. inserting an SD card with all the 614 files and folders in the root
3. waiting until the MMI has fully initiated
4. going into MMI Setup/Software Update and clicking update from SD1.

All tht happens is that the MMI scans the SD card and comes up with an error message saying, "Update Device Not Found". I've tried it with a DVD with the same result.

I must be doing something wrong, can anyone advise what it is, please?

I think that your error is that you may press the CAR+BACK for 5-6 seconds to go to the Update Menu.

INSTALLATION TUTORIAL MAPS 2014 :

To achieve the transition from paper 2014 (Code 4G0919884N ) for 3G MMI BASIC must keep in mind the following three steps:

One . Making updates to the latest software version available
( File size required: 518 MB Estimated perform necessary updates : 20-25 minutes)

Currently (FEB. 2014) latest available software update is BNav_EU_K0257_2_D1 . The update to this release can be achieved by installing two successive updates (depending on the version you already have installed on your machine you may need only the last update) :

arvhiat File size : 301 MB


Two . Installing maps in 2014
( File size required: 5.13 GB, installation map the estimated time needed : 2 minutes)

Three . Activation maps
( File size required: 2 KB, estimated time required activation map 4 minutes)

Detailed procedure

It is possible that some of you do not be familiar with the procedures described above ( like I used actually 2 weeks ago before I started documenting ) . In your help I wrote a small tutorial that shows a step by step approach of the 3 stages including descriptive images and additional explanations . prerequisites

To install we need one / combination of the following storage devices : CD , DVD -DL , SDHC Card ( 16 GB) . My recommendation is to use an SDHC card (or even 2 to 1 card to keep the map and other maps to make update-urile/activarea ) 16 GB ( 7.24 GB maps they are not sure get a card 8 GB is very limited ) of a larger category of speed to avoid burning CDs , DVDs ( which may encounter problems in reading, have a lower transfer speed memory card, you must update each file be alone on the media - would only need 3 discs update-uri/activarea map ) .
Estimated times for each step were obtained using an SDHC card speed class 10 . Using other media (DVD, CD) you have to deal with other times .

ERROR DIAGNOSIS subsequent

As mentioned in a previous post from a user point of view there is no noticeable problems or error 's MMI interface . Sig arise but two errors in diagnosis :

- 03276 - Please Check Software Version Management ( SOLVE ERROR )
- 03175 - Invalid Data Set (no documented a fix for this error at the time of writing the post )

It will open the archives attached *. Archiver zip what you want (WinRar, WinZip, 7Zip)
The files *. Torrent inside archives will be open uTorrent, BitTorrent, etc..
So avoid pollution topical discussions like "what open", "what I write speed", "what brand of DVD to use", etc..

Have anyone used the 6.17.3 activator successfully?
I have upgraded my MMI to 770 and installed 2014 6.17.3 maps I can not get the djdeniska activator to work it installs and all but the navi stops working after a few minutes.
I have tried to delete navi partition and redo everything but still no luck!
