Very slow programming /P K+D Can
Hi!
Very new to this. Played with a couple of versions of D, but it's my first time using P on my car. Need to change the battery type from an AGM to a normal 90Ah flooded. Got the new Rheingolg from spider50 (tnx v much for the detailed instructions). Using a borrowed K+D Can cable to usb. P populated the action list with a integration level update, so I figured I'd let it do it's thing. So far, all is well. Sleep mode on laptop disabled and on ac power. Big power supply on the jumper terminals on the car. But hell, the MOST updates take ages. I started yesterday around 3pm. It now 9pm. 30 hours. TEL/ULF took most of the time and BO has been updating for about 6 hours already... And GW and CIC-A are still in the queue! All lights are still flashing, and the progress % does update now and then. Is it just this slow? I am running P and D from an external hdd on a usb port, and the car is connected to one of the other usbs. Could this be my bottle neck? Should I rather run from internal hdd? If so, how do I safely cancel? The button just right of the spanner that includes a x? |

RE: Very slow programming /P K+D Can
It's not safe to do ANY programming using cheap interface like K+D-CAN. MOST devices usually have very large firmwares and you need to use ICOM + MOST-adapter do flash them fast.
