RE: Very slow programming /P K+D Can
Update!!!!

Jesus! I almost gave up....
Struggled for 24 hours to get my clone china icom a2bc to get a connection....

OK...
Ordered this icom...
Losta 5 stars, lotsa good reviews (get it)
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/2014-Top...fc24fd6f8b

The problem was all the software and drivers I had installed for the KD Can ICOM emulation.
Once that was uninstalled it was a breeze...

Do not attempt MOST with K+D CAN...

If ISTA/P tell you to update, ignore it, unless you have a real ICOM, not an software emulation.

If you upgrade from a K+D CAN cable to a real ICOM, do yourself a favour and just format and reinstall windows.... Else look for that stupid USB Ethernet emulator thing and uninstall it from the Programs thing on the Control Panel. The fact that it's "disabled" means nothing...
I opted to run ISPA/P from my hdd instead of from an external usb hdd. I don't know if that made a difference, but I doubt it.

If you ICOM goes from free to occupied just while ISTA/P is starting, before creating a session, it's probably an emulator buggering your around.

Don't be scared... Have a lot of alcohol around...

Also got me some maps,
and a life time unlock code from acolt...
20 Euros, bargain!

So much for parking it in a forest with flames coming out the windows...
This, is not that hard.... Nor is there any spectacular certified hardware or software required...

Thanks to all the guys that keep providing the software to make this happen. Thanks guys.
And the China stuff works fine, just check for reviews.

Done, sorted

Nope...
This car will be doing 270 in the morning, with 0 errors, latest integration level update and 2017 maps...

Thanks again to everyone for their help and advice!!! Thanks!!!

RE: Very slow programming /P K+D Can
Sorry for "hijacking" this thread but i have two questions since i upgraded from a JBEII to a JBEIII yesterday (coding according FA already done and car is "working"):

1. Is it a responsible risk to update the new JBEIII using ISTA-P and D-CAN? See the pictures attaced. Old JBEII is still working and could be reinstalled in case the new unit gets broken.

2. What does "Individualdaten sichern" and "Individualdaten wiederherstellen" mean? What data is saved and restored? I think "BO" is part of CIC so does this affect the FSCs?

Many thanks in advance!
