Very crazy good luck

I wish... The new D will only replace a battery with the exact same one. It refers you to P for a type change.

RE: Very slow programming /P K+D Can
ISTA/P is able to change battery type without reflashing the whole car.

Sure. In "expert mode".

Or you could use for the same task BMW Carly, much, much easier.

Yes. But I didn't want to interfere with it's recommended actions. So I left the action list auto populated worried

Yes, I have it in expert mode.
Will definitely change over to Carly after this!!!

Lol at flashing up to a few GB of data at 62.5kB/s max speed.

The good part is that if anything fails, you can get an ICOM with MOST to recover everything.

RE: Very slow programming /P K+D Can
Here's my update!

BO update failed sad
CIC-A and GW were skipped as dependents because BO failed.

Everything else passed.
So, atleast the car starts and runs. Though no idrive or radio.

What worries me at this point, is that if I let P do a diagnosis and populate the action list, BO is listed and communicates, and shows an aborted upload. But it also talks about "Import Activation code" and "Activate A".

After some reading here... Are these like "Licenses"? Are they FSCs? Can I get/use my old ones, as no module has been replaced?

Anyone in South Africa have a ICOM+MOST I can borrow?
Can this be done by ENET?

PS: Got my Battery replacement sorted in the meantime too smile

I'm late joining in here but you CAN use cheap lead for programming but never for the optical units (TEl/ULF/BO etc.).

===

1. Generate list using ISTA/P and print off the measures.
2. Using WinKFP update the modules in the order listed in measures individually
DO NOT ATTEMPT THE MOST MODULES
3. Change coding if you wish using NCSExpert

===

You should be able to recover your car using ICOM but be aware that even with ICOM some of these modules fail during programming. I never update them unless
(i) the customer has an issue
and
(ii)the customer signs a disclaimer.

However, I've never had fatal failure in over ten years programming these.

Yes, so to recover them you need an ICOM.
Cheap Chinese A2 will do but you should buy genuine ICOM-NEXT as they are extremely affordable now.

Don't forget that you will need NEXT-A and NEXT-B to do what you wish to do.
