Hello friends, Just bought new 2015 Golf TDI(new but old stock) and dealer applied the dieselgate software fix before selling it.Wondering if its possible to clone the existing ECU and run the previous version of software on the cloned ECU and just swap the ecu before visiting the dealer for any service and maintain factory warranty.

Heard that software fix VW applied to the TDI's is gonna create more problems like carbon buildup,egr issues, injector issues in the future.Thanks.

You mean put a spare ecu and then swap it?You can do immo off to the used one and then put it on go to the dealer and then change it.

I think if you read the ecu boot mode then you will be able to write it back or find sgo file with previous software and put it on

Yes i meant spare ECU.

But do you think mileage discrepancy can be a problem if i swap ecu back and forth?

I do not think so because the km showing only if you have a dtc code.But why you think that you will have problem?

am thinking if i visit dealer for any warranty work then mileage discrepancy might show up on their system.But i am just guessing.

Do you mean sw downgrade using ODIS engineering?

How can i find proper pre-dieselgate files for my 2015 golf tdi(USA model) with dsg transmission?Thanks

For example with odis-e. A lot of tools can do this.
Search forum for "flash disks". All is here, just search for it
